Because my cousin had to leave early on Saturday for a test on Sunday, we left at 4am on Saturday to get there earlier so the kids would have more time together (not to mention my cousin and I). It was fun but imagine waking up at 3am to start driving at 4am. Ugh.
I’m sure that’s what I looked like when I woke up too. Hated it but it was worth it. Coffee didn’t do a whole lot of good but it helped. My poor little guy wasn’t too happy about it but he survived.
I have no doubt I passed through all the stages of sleepiness.
Perhaps the coffee staved off the last stage. I almost never fall instantly asleep though. Sometimes the more tired I am, the harder it can be to fall asleep.
From what I heard when I was in high school, people usually sleep in one position and that it says something about their personality. I’m not sure how that works because over the years I’ve noticed that I sleep all over the place.
I used to sleep only on my back, then it was on my sides, then my belly. Now I’m back on my sides but that’s mostly because sleeping on my belly usually gives me heartburn. A lot of times I start off on my back and end up on my sides. Usually my left side because it’s true that sleeping on the right side can aggravate heartburn. Go figure.
My son takes the last two positions most of the time. Much to my detriment whenever I travel and have to share a bed with him. There are nights I get little uninterrupted sleep because I’m karate-chopped or side-kicked many times during the night.
Yep. That’s pretty much how my son slept from baby to present.
That’s not actually how I sleep. I just thought it was funny. It used to be how I slept when I was growing up though.
How do you sleep?
Haha! Well, my hubby would qualify as knocked out right now. He is sleeping on the floor with his feet on an ottoman! LMAO! xoxo
lol Gotta love it. My husband will use any excuse to sleep and he can fall asleep in literally 5 seconds! At night in bed he’ll start snoring and, if he’s really loud, I’ll jab him with my elbow and tell him he was snoring.
“No, I wasn’t. I wasn’t asleep.”
LOL
I LOVE the baby sleep positions – so, so funny!!!
And so SO true! I can’t count how many times my kid beat me up in his sleep when he was a baby. I still marvel at how my son sleeps. Like this morning for example – last night he started off perfect and peaceful; this morning I had to move him because he was lying sideways on the bed and his head was hanging off the side. lol
